hidden treasure
Recently, I have a very good experience in filing accelerated examination application. We filed an AE on June 22nd, got the petition to make the application special granted on September 30, 2020. On October 22nd, 2020, I got a call from the examiner, who wanted to make a few examiner’s amendment before issuing a notice of allowance. The cost of filing AE is about $140 compared to $4,000 Track one application. To satisfy the AE,  the applicant needs to meet several conditions, including: firstly conducing a pre-examination search; secondly providing an accelerated examination support document (AESD); and thirdly ensuring the application is complete under 37 C.F.R. § 1.51 at the time of filing. To keep the patent prosecution in speedy way, Applicant needs to:

1)Telephone restriction requirement without traverse;

2)Telephone interview for Office Action;

3) 2 month to reply for Notice of Allowance or a final office action;

4)Office action has to be replied via EFS-web;

5)IDS to be filed over EFS;

6)Issue fee to be paid within one month;
