Rocket Docket Design patent is a good way to get your design application through US patent office quickly. Here, we filed a rocket docket design application on April 14, 2020 and got a granted design patent on September 29, 2020. The cost is about $800 (small entity) after October 2, 2020. We filed a few extra forms in addition to regular design application filings:
1. Expedited examination request is filed;
2. The design application is complete and includes drawings in compliance with 37 CFR 1.84 (see 37 CFR 1.154 and MPEP § 1503 concerning the requirements for a complete design application), or is an international design application designating the United States that was published pursuant to Hague Agreement Article 10(3); and
3. An information disclosure statement in compliance with 37 CFR 1.98 is filed.
Extra tips for rocket docket design application:
1. Drawings have to be good and strictly follow USPTO design rules otherwise the application will be delayed; and
2. Good searches are must.
